Thanks to businesses, organizations, and local authorities for supporting us and making our vision of ending child exploitation in the San Pedro Sula dump a reality.
Thanks to the support from the SPS Municipality, led by Mayor Armando Calidonio and Mirna DiPalma, various initiatives have been made possible, including a project near the entrance of the municipal trash dump, Christmas graduations, Children's Day, medical brigades, preschool graduation, and the salaries of teachers and kitchen staff. This support continues under Roberto Contreras' administration, covering teacher salaries and electrical bill payments.
GlobalGiving is a global crowdfunding platform that connects nonprofits, donors, and companies. It enables organizations like Grace to access funding, tools, training, and support for their cause. Grace has been vetted and accepted as a partner, allowing for tax-deductible donations in the US and Gift Aid in the UK. The platform also helped Grace raise $26,000 in grants through its COVID crisis fund and disaster relief efforts. We are grateful to be part of the GlobalGiving community.
Thanks to COH, we receive monthly food aid for our children, including rice, mashed potatoes, dry soup, corn flakes, cookies, and hygiene supplies. In the past, they also conducted a Women Empowerment Group to teach about microenterprises and improve the self-esteem of girls through faith-based education. We are grateful for their support.
Thanks to Payless, they are helping children and families by donating shoes, socks, and occasionally backpacks. We appreciate their continued support over the years and the countless shoes they have given. Their trust in our vision is a blessing.
The Honduran Non-Profit Organization certifies us as an educational center and provides legal documentation from the Ministry of Education in Honduras for first to sixth grade. They use their SACE code to certify our students and coach our teachers on educational methodology. We are grateful for their support.
Thanks to IHER, we are able to provide legal certification from the Ministry of Education in Honduras for 7th to 11th grade students. Their role as an educational institute has been invaluable.
Thanks to the efforts of Dorothee Kuhs, the Project Coordinator for Latin America, we have been selected as beneficiaries of the German organization Coworkers. This has resulted in a generous donation of $4,530 to support the Grace Nutritional Program, as well as a donation of $15,500 to construct our fifth classroom. This will enable us to resume daily classes for our 200 students
We have developed a strong relationship with Partner Hero, thanks to Cinthya Gómez. They have generously provided Grace with office supplies, supported our festivities, and helped raise funds for our children. We are grateful for their trust and support.
Thanks to Christof Wittwer, Jim Davenport, Vasanth Prabhu, and a dedicated team of missioners, we successfully built three classrooms. Their support extends beyond construction as they have also helped with Christmas celebrations, purchasing kitchen supplies, supporting our Nutritional Program in 2019, providing aid during the Covid crisis in March 2020, purchasing a hearing aid for one of our students, supplying uniforms in 2020, and school supplies in 2021. We are grateful for their unwavering commitment to our cause.
